The first thing visitors to Christ Church often notice is the high quality of the music. From our renowned choir to our amazing organ, we are blessed with gifted volunteers and professional musicians who lead the congregation in worship each Sunday.
Christ Church Choir
The Christ Church Choir sings for the 11:00 a.m. worship service every Sunday, from the second Sunday in September through 4th of July weekend. They practice every Thursday evening (generally from September to May) from 7:30 to 9:15 p.m. The choir is led by Dr. Daniel Aune, the Director of Music and Organist. Contact Dr. Aune at [email protected] or 410-752-7179, ext. 217 for more information.
Brassivity is an ensemble of brass players from the Peabody Conservatory of Music which regularly plays at our festival services, provides occasional preludes and postludes, and presents two to three concerts throughout the year. We are excited to have this collaboration with students from Peabody and always look forward to hearing the gifts that they bring to our worship.
There are many opportunities for instrumentalists to share their talent in our liturgies. Instrumentalists are invited to provide prelude music, especially in the summer, or to help accompany an anthem. If you would like to offer your musical gift, please contact Daniel Aune.
This dedicated group practices each Sunday an hour before Contemporary Worship begins, gathering at 7:45 a.m. during the school year and 8:45 a.m. during the summer. Musicians of all ages are welcome to join this dynamic, talented group! Contact Lead Contemporary Musician Dr. Rebecca Lindsey at [email protected] for more information!
